Metrics and Targets

Our Group recognises protection of natural capital — especially water resources and ecosystems — and pursuit of nature‑positive outcomes (ecosystem restoration) as strategic priorities, implementing systematic initiatives and targets to achieve measurable progress.

TNFD core global disclosure indicators Priority themes Metric FY2025 Result Target Sites in scope
- Climate change mitigation Reduction of GHG emissions as a result of own energy use (Scopes 1 and 2) (%) 21,390 Target 50% reduction of GHG emissions by fiscal 2030 (compared with fiscal 2021) Our Group
Reduction of GHG emissions across the entire value chain (t-CO2)(Total Scope 1, 2 & 3) 895,875 Achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by FY2050 Our Group
Reduction of GHG emissions through products sold (Scope 3 Category 11) (%) -27 Target 52% reduction of GHG emissions per wafer by fiscal 2030 (compared with fiscal 2021) Our Group
Increasing the proportion of renewable energy used by the company (Scope 2)(%) 32 Convert all electricity used at our sites to 100% renewable energy by fiscal 2030. Our Group
A23.1 Circular Economy Final disposal rate of industrial waste (%) 0.06 Final disposal rate of 0.05% or less KE
C7.2 Water resource conservation Description and value of significant fines/penalties received/litigation action in the year due to negative nature-related impacts. Not applicable (0yen) Not applicable (0yen) Our Group
A3.2 Water recycling rate (%) 17 More than 30% (FY2026) Toyama Technology & Manufacturing Center
  • GHG emissions for Scope 1 (direct) and Scope 2 (indirect) are calculated using emission factors and methodologies aligned with the Act on Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures and relevant guidance.
Scope 3 Category 11 (use of sold products) emissions are estimated using our internal lifecycle assessment assumptions based on shipment volumes and assumed lifetime energy consumption per product.

  • Final disposal rate (A23.1) is calculated as: final disposal volume ÷ industrial waste generated × 100, expressed as a percentage.

  • Water recycling rate (A3.2) is calculated as: The water recycling rate (%) is calculated as recycled water volume divided by total water withdrawn (tap water + industrial water + recycled water) × 100.
