About KOKUSAI ELECTRIC

: The Company's predecessor, KOKUSAI ELECTRIC CORPORATION, was founded in 1949. Thereafter, we developed first as part of KOKUSAI ELECTRIC`s business, and from 2000 as part of Hitachi Kokusai Electric Inc.'s business. In 2017, we welcomed the investment fund Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. as a shareholder, and in 2018, KOKUSAI ELECTRIC embarked on a fresh start independently as a dedicated manufacturer of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

: The KOKUSAI ELECTRIC Group belongs to a single segment, the semiconductor manufacturing equipment business. However, to categorize our company into business units, we have the "Equipment Business" engaged in the manufacturing and sales of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and the "Services Business" engaged in parts sales and maintenance services for the equipment, the transfer and upgrading of equipment, and sales of used equipment.

: From March 2021, we began using the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
