Toyama Technology & Manufacturing Center Achieved Platinum Status, the Highest Level in the RBA VAP Audit

Kokusai Electric Corporation (President and CEO: Kazunori Tsukada; Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan) is pleased to inform that the Toyama Technology & Manufacturing Center has achieved Platinum Status, the highest level of recognition, after undergoing a Responsible Business Alliance (RBA)*1 Validated Assessment Program (VAP) audit*2 in December 2025.

In addition to ensuring that each and every one of our officers and employees act responsibly based on our corporate philosophy KOKUSAI ELECTRIC Way, the Kokusai Electric Group has also established the Kokusai Electric Group Sustainable Procurement Guidelines, a code of conduct for business partners, within its supply chain management framework. We are working to further strengthen these initiatives.

In recognition of its proper management, operation, and compliance with the RBA Code of Conduct in all items including Labor, Health and Safety, Environment, Ethics, and Management Systems, Toyama    Technology & Manufacturing Center acquired Platinum Status for the second consecutive year.

Based on this result, we will strive to maintain the Platinum Status of Toyama Technology & Manufacturing Center and further enhance improvement initiatives at other facilities including those of Group companies, to continue to promote corporate activity in compliance with the RBA Code of Conduct.

Under the corporate slogan "Technology & Tai-wa for Tomorrow," we will pursue economic, environmental, and social values from both business and ESG (resolving environmental and social issues and strengthening governance) aspects, with the aim of contributing to the achievement of SDGs and realizing a sustainable society and our group’s sustainable development.

Responsible Business Alliance (RBA)
The RBA is the world’s largest industry coalition dedicated to responsible business conduct in global supply chains. The RBA Code of Conduct sets out standards to ensure that workers are treated with respect and dignity, the work environment is safe, and that business activities are carried out in an environmentally and ethically responsible manner.

Validated Assessment Program (VAP) audit
VAP audits are conducted by independent, third-party firms to assess whether a facility is properly operated in compliance with the RBA Code of Conduct. The assessed facility may be recognized as silver (minimum score of 160), gold (minimum score of 180), or platinum status (full score of 200), according to its assessment score.
